Our  Story

Kylie Soafer

I've been a dog enthusiast my whole life- when I was seven my family bought a Great Dane on a show contract. My sister and I showed her and instantly fell in love with the fancy. I met my 'Dog Moms' on my journey as a junior handler. I fell in love with the Shiba Inu breed and have been collaborating with Cheryl since 2007. I have had the privilege of showing dogs all over the world as an AKC professional handler. This is my passion - not my fulltime job. I have dedicated my life to preserving this breed, promoting health and confirmation, and raising exceptional puppies that serve as wonderful companions.

Cheryl Lee Giffin

Born in Toledo, Ohio and a transient to FL as a teenager. Cheryl's love for breeding started in 4H with rabbits, chickens and ducks which continued into college medical field and her passion for genetics. This translated into Chow Chows in 1985 when she started attending dog shows. In 1991, when Shibas were still a rare breed, Cheryl found her first Shiba, Samantha, and a forever soul connection with the breed. Instantly, she found her passion.

Cheryl moved to GA in 2014 and has a successful kennel here in the Southeast. She has national champion winners, 50+ bred by champions and almost 100 champions under her kennel name.

Our Dogs

Dedication. Expertise. Passion.

Welcome to the current roster of our breeding stock and current campaigning champions.

Breeding Program

Dedication. Expertise. Passion.

Lee-fen is an AKC verified confirmation kennel dedicated to health and temperament. We take pride in our show accolades and this starts in the whelping box. As Shibas can be a vivacious breed and not for the first time dog owner- we start training as soon as they are weened and, show dog or not, all of our Shibas are first and foremost: beloved pets.
